COMMUNITY KITCHEN UPDATE
Welcome Community Kitchen Volunteers!
We have some updates FOR the Community Kitchen as plans are now finalized for
the temporary closure of the Gillespie Center building.
TIMELINE
Tuesday, April 30:
The last day of meal service in the Community Kitchen at The Gillespie Center.
WedNESDAY, May 1 – TuesDAY, May 14:
Meal delivery will be paused while the shelter clients transition to our new, temporary location.
WedNESDAY, May 15:
Meal delivery will resume at our new temporary location, Linxweiler House.
GUIDELINES
Please prepare lunch or dinner for 8 people
Delivery time for Lunch:
11:30 am - Drop-off only
Delivery time for Dinner:
4:30 pm - Drop-off only
Temporary Location
Linxweiler House – 655 Post Road East, Westport – (located next to McDonald’s)
Please deliver your meal to the side door of the house (by the driveway)

PLEASE NOTE: Our apologies, but we cannot accommodate volunteers
inside Linxweiler House to serve their meals.
Frozen meals will be available at Sasco Creek (temporary location of The Food Pantry)
for community members who are accustomed to having their meals at the Gillespie Center.
MEAL DESCRIPTION
(PLEASE PROVIDE FOR 8 PEOPLE)
LUNCH:
individually bagged lunches to include a sandwich, fruit, chips, and dessert
OR
a family-style meal to be served IN DISPOSABLE TRAYS
NO nuts or shellfish
DINNER:
a family-style dinner TO include a main dish, A side dish (RICE, POTATO, pasta), vegetable, And dessert in disposable TRAYS.
